Hi there!
I’m Aisha, but you can call me CatBee.

I was diagnosed with autism when I was two, and I’m considered on the severe end of the spectrum because I communicate a little differently and like things just so. I thrive on order and routine—it’s just my thing!

But here’s the cool part: I have a knack for art, crafts, and even baking. That’s where CatBee comes in! It’s the name I use for all my handmade creations. From colorful canvases and custom T-shirts to decorated notebooks, cement pots, and more, every piece is made with love and care.

Through CatBee, my goal is to share my art while also spreading awareness and acceptance for the special needs community.

What’s Anything Monsters?

Aisha has always loved doodling and coloring—it’s part of her daily routine. In early 2022, she became totally obsessed with drawing monsters. We’re talking hundreds of quirky, three-eyed, toothy beasts!

It started with animal monsters, but soon there were fruit, veggie, and insect monsters. She even dreamed up monsters inspired by random objects like sailboats, watering cans, and sweets. That’s how the series “Anything Monsters” came to life—because literally anything can be a monster in Aisha’s world!

Since then, Anything Monsters has gone on some fun adventures. It first appeared at an exhibition at Ultra Super New Gallery in August 2022 and spent all of 2023 at Creamier, a gallery-meets-ice-cream shop. In 2023, Aisha was even commissioned to create a monster art piece for the launch of “Our SG Arts Plan.”

Next stop: Kuala Lumpur! The Monsters will be showcased at The Changing Room in the Zhongshan Building from 20–29 December 2024.
